With paradise only being a stones throw away, it is no wonder why Bali is a must do on the bucket list for all Australians. With incredible vibes, great beaches and some of the best restaurants all in the once place.
I have been travelling to Bali since I was around 10 years old. I would often travel every year with the family, but as I became older my love affair with Bali only increased and I now hit the Island twice a year.

Villa Life
When visiting Bali there are many different kinds of accommodation. When I travel with either just a few mates or with a whole village, I always seem to be drawn to hiring a villa.
There is nothing quite like being in the comfort of you’re own villa where you will always find a pool lounge and a chef or butler to whip up a quick meal or beverage.
Some of my favourite villa stays:
- Villa Umuh Kupu Kupu
- Sentosa Villas
- The Layar Villas
- Kubu Villas

Food, Glorious food!
Bali has now started to attract the likes of Australian, British and American chefs to its land and you can really see the shift in quality of food.
You have everything from food stalls on the side of the roads (called Warungs) to high end restaurants.
I like to mix it up when I am in Bali, often going back to old favourites but also trying out the ever changing “best restuarants” guides.
Below are some of my faves:
- Sarong
- Tommy’s Café
- La Lucciola
- Made Warung
I know Coffee is always a VERY important factor so I have included a couple of cool places to try out also:
- Coffee Cartel
- Revolver

Boxfit
Take a whole lot of cardio and add in a couple of boxing punches, and what do you get? Boxfit! Be prepared to get that heart pumping as you improve your agility, coordination, and strength in sessions that combine boxing technique with a killer cardio workout. Not for the faint hearted!
Bali Fit, Jalan Munduk Catu, Batu Bolong, Canggu
Motion Fitness
Anything from Cardio Pilates- Yes, I know this sounds awful, but it is one of the best classes I have done. It works muscles you never knew you had and invites you to push pass all boundaries to get that good-looking bootay you’ve always dreamed of.
Other than he fact the Trainer sometimes forgets to the class will leave you feeling satisfied you have earned your cocktail hour by the pool

Get that massage- you deserve it!
My Favourite place to get a massage in Seminyak is The Care Day Spa. This Spa is located in the middle of Seminyak and a go-to of us travel buddies at NETFIT.
Anything from manicures through to 4 hour long massage packages (which is one of my faves!)
After your massage and walking out on what feels like clouds you are welcomed by your choice of hot or cold tea- My favourite is the hot Lemon and ginger tea.

Bali is one of the most beautiful and vibrant places in South East Asia and us Australians are fortunate enough to jump on a 5-hour flight and be ready to mix it with the locals. If you ever do get the chance, make sure you tick it off your bucket list.
What are your favourite places, restaurants and workouts in Bali?
