Bali is starting to become the ultimate foodie heaven! It covers it all from funky little cafes right up to high end dining and everything in-between.

Who else would we ask for their favourite Bali foodie spots other than our amazing Chef, Carmie.

We are lucky enough to have Carmie on our Bali retreats as our private Chef and she cooks up an absolute storm! Just ask us about her famous ‘Spaghetti Aglio E Oili’ (Check out our NETFIT APP for her recipe) this is seriously the best pasta dish we have EVER had!

Carmie has lived in Bali for a few years and has tried it all, check out her favourite foodie spots:

Mamasan – Modern Asian (Seminyak)

I have 2 favorite restaurants that I always go to for a nice dinner out which are on the more expensive side and that’s Mamasan, which is modern Asian, don’t forget to order the crispy chicken dumplings.

Sardine- Seafood inspired (Seminyak)

Sardine is seafood inspired with a beautiful outlook looking into the rice fields with a field of sunflowers at the very back, of course this view is more gorgeous when the rice has not been cut. Lovely for a lunch as you can see the beauty during the day.

Casa Asia- Italian (Ungasan)

This is a cheap and cheerful that also has cheap accommodation so normally filled with a younger crowd I love the penne arrabbiata and the chicken salad (just ask for extra feta 😜).

Jimbaran fish market- Seafood

My last but not least is Jimbaran fish market. We usually go into the fish market pick our fish (lift the fin and check it’s dark in color and the eyes are clear) grab some prawns and calamari or whatever takes your fancy take it out to one of the vendors outside and they will BBQ it for you for 20,000 ($2) a kilo it’s amazing food and you aren’t being stung tourist prices like just down the road. I always buy red snapper but that’s my preference.
